H5 is a leading provider of Team Building & Outdoor Activities, with over 25 years of experience serving both the education sector and corporate clients. We are an small independent and family-run business, with our reputation built on a personalised and professional service.

Our locations

We can come to you with our activities in your grounds, or come to us at our privately owned venue, ‘The Lake’, in Wiltshire and close to the M4. We also deliver Residentials & The Duke of Edinburgh Award Expeditions across the UK and in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Our team

Paul Webb is the Owner & Managing Director and will often be your first port of call from our office. We also have a large manned storage facility with equipment, vehicle and trailer. Our Outdoor Instructors hail from a wide range of backgrounds, including senior management, outdoor enthusiasts, teachers and other public service workers. All are professional, mature and experienced in outdoor pursuits, and hold relevant, up-to-date qualifications.

Client Managers

H5 Adventure have three client managers who work with our clients to plan, organise and run expeditions, residentials and team building days. They have a wealth of experience and skill sets that mean every client’s needs are met. This planning and organisation give the instructors on the ground the ease of delivering safe and enjoyable adventures that everyone can take full advantage of.

Stores

Our stores team work tirelessly in our stores, keeping on top of equipment coming and going to courses, ensuring the right equipment is in the right place so our Course Directors and Instructors can deliver the best activities to our clients. They are also quite handy and love repairing anything from broken tent poles to gluing arrow tips back on.

We also support all of our instructors by offering a FREE annual training day, incorporating guest speakers on a wide spectrum of industry training and development.

Our safety measures

In all of our activities, the safety of all parties takes the highest priority. We have an excellent safety record and take the safety of our clients, ourselves and any third parties very seriously. Our safety measures include:

• Ensuring instructors and staff have relevant qualifications and/or experience
• Ensuring all instructors and staff are DBS enhanced checked
• Thorough risk assessments for each activity
• Clear safety policies and contingency measures understood by all staff
• AALA license holders (Adventure Activity Licensing Authority, licence no. L12186)
• Membership of The South Wales Outdoor Activity Providers Group
• AAP License to deliver The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Expeditions
• £5million Public Liability Insurance (Activities Industry Mutual)
• We hold an AAP License with The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, allowing us to deliver expeditions for them.

Charity & Community Work

H5 Adventure is a proud supporter of the Armed Forces Covenant. Through this H5 Adventure pledges to acknowledge and understand that those who serve or have served in the armed forces should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities in which they serve with their lives. This includes program and employment opportunities to suitable personnel.

We are a commercial business, but that does not mean we don’t care. We are fully aware we should and can support others and are proud to have supported The Brain Tumour Charity, Wiltshire Air Ambulance, Bushton Plant Fair and others. We have also had work experience pupils work with us and have even had two younger adults placed with us over a 12 month period, supporting us and giving them an opportunity to gain some workplace experience.
